Family dental, vision, and health care.
Why is it that dental and vision is not together with health. It call comes down to health care so why should it not just be all together on one plan? Even when you by health the dental that comes with it is still separate from the health. It also normally dose not include vision unless you pay more. Is this just another way they get money out of you?

Well I am not sure where you live that things are like that for you. With all the medical plans I have reviewed in my life they all offer dental. It was up to you how you wanted to package the plan together.
I normally did not buy my dental with the medical only because I wanted to shop out my price and coverages for the dental. I normally could find better stand alone dental plans.

I agree that vision is odd. You can get it with both medical and dental plans. The way I see it is that the medical will cover for eye care, but not for the prescriptions. (such as: glasses, frames and contacts.)
The vision that comes with the dental does not have much coverage in regards to eye care but helps with the cost of the prescriptions.
I guess this can very depending on were you live and what is available to you. I would say read your medical and see what is covered for your vision care.

It all depends on how you get your dental insurance. If you are getting your dental insurance though your employer many jobs do not offer dental benefits. Therefore you need to get your own stand alone dental insurance plan if you are wanting to have dental insurance.
Also some larger companies have many different plans to offer for both dental and medical. They do this so that hopefully it will fit all the employee needs.
