Dental question, What is lock jaw and how do you know if you have it
Lately within the last month or so my jaw has been really stiff. Mostly when I get up in the morning. It sore and it fill like it can not even move it. I am fine after a while but it getting me worried. My friend told me I getting lockjaw but I do not think he know what he is talking about.
However I am not sure what lock jaw really is. I’ve heard of it before so I know it is something real does any one know more about it. And as far as my jaw any advise would be great.

Well I would doubt that you have lock jaw. Sounds more like you may be grinding your teeth at night making them sore by the time you wake up in the morning. You could be doing that if your stress is going up. You may need a night guard if that is the case but talk to a dentist to make sure.

I agree lock jaw is something you really do not get in today age because you normally get tetanus shots to avoid that from happening.
Sound like you could be grinding your teeth or you may be having some TMJ issues. Both of which a dentist would be able to confirm for you.
