Affordable dental insurance/care for children in Virginia: I am trying to help my friend find low cost dental care or a low cost dental plan that will help her afford the needed dental services for her 15 year old daughter.
Her daughter needs dental surgery, however, as it it now they can’t afford it. They do have dental insurance though her husband job, but the dental plan they have does not covers specialist which is what she needs to go to. Their daughter needs help immediately and they really need some good advise on how to get it.

Although our dental insurance plans we offer in VA would let your friend go to a dental specialist the issue may be that they do come with waiting periods for both basic and major dental services.
With that said we also offer dental discount plans that have no waiting periods for any dental services render. Dental discount plans are network plans only so you do need to go to dentist that are in the network taking the plan in question.
So as long as there is an oral surgeon in the plan your savings would be 20 percent which will help to lower the cost of their daughter dental care.
I suggest reviewing the different dental plan options we have and seeing if one type would fit her needs the best.
