Any Provider Vs. Limited Choice of Providers Plans.

Sunday, Jul. 9th 2023 9:33 AM

More traditional policies (such as dental Indemnity plans) allow the insured to obtain dental treatment from any provider and be reimbursed for claims made according to the plan’s benefits.

HMO dental insurance plans limit coverage (fee scheduled based) to services provided by the HMO’s providers.

PPOs dental insurance plans provide a list of providers for whom benefits are provided on a preferred basis (while covering dental services of non-listed dental providers can be on a less favorable basis).

Dental Insurance Kids – Kids Dental Insurance Health Care

Monday, Jun. 26th 2023 6:12 AM

When teaching your children good dental habits you want to start sooner then latter. Despite great strides in decay prevention, one in four young children develops signs of tooth decay before they start school. Half of all children between the ages of 12 and 15 have cavities.

Your child dental care should begin as soon as the first tooth appears, usually around six months. Teeth can be wiped with a clean, damp cloth or a very soft brush. At around the age of two, you can let your child/children try brushing their teeth themselves, although it is still important to supervise them..

Dental Insurance Kids – Dental Insurance and Maximum Limitation

Friday, Jun. 23rd 2023 10:10 AM

When buying a Dental PPO or Indemnity insurance plan, make sure to pay attention to the maximum amount of coverage allowed. A comprehensive plan should have at least a $1,000 maximum coverage, but the average range is between $1,000 – $2,000.   A major dental procedure can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars, and you can easily max out your insurance in one trip. When comparing different dental insurance plans, compare the coverage limits. Higher limits usually require higher premiums, but they may be worth it if you require multiple dental procedures.

Dental Insurance Kids – Understanding A Dental PPO Plan

Thursday, May. 18th 2023 9:09 AM

Dental PPO: In a preferred provider organization (PPO), network dentists accept a contracted fee as payment in full instead of their usual fee. Covered patients pay a percentage of the contracted fee, which is called coinsurance, the insurer pays the rest and the percentage varies with each category of service, which is typically broken down into sets of procedures that are diagnostic and falls under preventive, basic, or major restorative.

In theses types of plan you will typically have to satisfy a deductible or office co-pay, as well as have n annual maximum limitation and waiting periods(depending on the plan). It is important that you understand the terms and conditions/limitation of a PPO plan. However one main benefit of a PPO plan is that they normally have a larger provider data base and in most PPO plans you are able to also choose providers not in the plan network, allowing you to choose and or stay with your current dental provider.
